Crete has stunning archaeological sites including the Minoan palaces, while Rhodes has the Acropolis of Lindos and the majestic medieval old town of Rhodes. Italians and Turks have left their marks in Rhodes, while Crete boasts natural wonders, such as the Samaria Gorge, Balos Lagoon and Elafonisi. A final view of Athens completed our special itinerary with Charles and Walkaway Treks as, after a few years, we were ready to explore ancient Greece!
